Fair Bluff Equestrian Services is an equine focused ranch with professional facilities, growing top quality Coastal Bermuda hay. The ranch sits on 50 lush North Carolina acres, where we cut and bale the finest horse quality Coastal Bermuda hay. Each cutting is carefully managed to ensure the highest possible protein and weed-free content. Samples from every cutting are sent to the lab at Clemson University for testing and validation of nutrients and food value. We have both round and square bales available, and will custom bale our fields upon customer request to ensure their product of choice. And, we often can provide for delivery, if desired. Additionally, each year we overseed our horse pastures and approximately 15+ acres of our hayfields with winter rye. It produces lush pasture for the horses through the winter and beautiful hay for baling in the late Spring. This grass/hay is loved by the horses! It is like "candy" for them, and, it contains an equivalent or better protein content and food value as the Coastal Bermuda. It is quickly becoming a favorite with our hay customers. We only produce a limited amount of rye hay as it is difficult to manage a good "weather window" for cutting and baling in the late Spring. We cut and bale our rye in late April and we start cutting the first of the Coastal Bermuda in mid-June! 2011 was very interesting! It was very hot and dry early in the year which reduced our production volume dramatically. But, we got some good rain through parts of August and September and the hay grew nicely again. Even through the dry months, the quality of our cuttings was superb. We got enough volume to ensure meeting the demand of our long term customers through the remainder of this season (June 2012)! We are very impressed with the Coastal fields and their strength, and are looking forward to a great 2012 crop. We were sold out in 2010! The 2011 Coastal Bermuda is really beautiful, and since we have several new fields in production, we took on many new clients. And, predictably, we again sold out - 2011 sold out!!! It is now 2012! This is the time to talk with us about your 2012 and future needs. We start cutting again in June of 2012. Plan to come on by and see our hay - it is certain to fit your needs! And, we may be able to provide delivery, if desired. For more information, please contact Sabra or Ron Morgan at: Barn Manager: Allyson Strickland 843-283-0038 | ||||||||||||
